For the second consecutive year, the Northwest Region will conclude the season at the Yakima Dirt Track in Yakima, Wash.
The Sept. 25-26 races will be the only two sprint car races at the semi-banked, 3/8th mile clay oval that opened in 1999.
Since last season's wild races, approximately $25,000 worth of clay has been added to the track, which is located on the Central Washington State Fairgrounds.
"Top, bottom and all over," said Greg Lybeck, assistant general manager of the state park. "It's pretty wide open."
The races, won by Jason Solwold and Brock Lemley last season, are during the Central Washington State Fair - Sept. 25 through Oct. 4. A $12 ticket grants access into both the fair and the race each day.
"It's an awfully good deal with all-day entertainment," Lybeck said.
