Kaeding swapped the lead several times with Danny Lasoski before Lasoski pulled to the infield in the closing laps. Jason Johnson moved up to second, but never seriously challenged Kaeding for the lead.

Roger Crockett finished third and is locked into Saturday's $15,000-to-win feature.

Austen Wheatley placed 17th.
