ANNOUNCEMENTS

Tire Clarification:  ASCS has a right rear tire rule only. 

1.       Right Rear Hoosier Racing Tire, 105x16.0-15 Medium or 105x18.0-15 HARD. No tire preps or tire softeners allowed.

2.       Beadlocks recommended on all wheels.

3.       Maximum right wheel width is 18-inches, maximum left rear wheel width is 15 inches.

4.       Left Front is the only tire you can run flat.

2010 Membership Registration Forms Available

Drivers planning on competing with the American Sprint Car Series in 2010 can register themselves and crews now. 

Drivers do not have to be ASCS members to compete in ASCS sanctioned events, however drivers must be members to be eligible for contingency awards and Mid season/year-end point fund monies and to be covered under the series' insurance policy.

Crew members may join as well for just $100. (including insurance) Membership for drivers and crew members also assures a pit pass price of no more than $30 at any Lucas Oil Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters event or any ASCS Regional event.  Crew members not wishing to have series insurance can again register for $25.00.

Forms and Registration page along with rules page have been updated.

We are working on confirming a time and location for an informational and registration meeting.

Shark on Board!

Stacy Verrall, SEATTLE, Wash. (January 31, 2010) – Keep your eyes wide open and watch your step at the track this year. There’s been a Shark attack in the ASCS Northwest Region, and the dirt track lovin’ predator is hunting ASCS Northwest drivers.

Marc Huson, of Shark Racing Engines, is giving away a brand new Shark ASCS 360 Engine to one lucky northwest driver. To be eligible to win, drivers must make an attempt at competing in 100% of the scheduled 19 races on the ASCS Northwest 2010 calendar. A drawing will be held for all eligible drivers at the championship banquet (date and location TBA). Drivers must be present at the banquet to be considered for the prize.

“What a great deal for our teams,” declares Greg Burgess, ASCS Northwest Region Director. “Last year we had eight teams with perfect attendance. How often do you get a 1 in 8 chance of winning a $34,000 Shark Engine? Even if the ratio was three times what it was last year, it would still be great odds for any team!”

Burgess went on to say, “Marc and Shark Racing Engines have always been long time supporters of northwest racing and racers. It’s an honor to be teamed up with people like Marc who are dedicated to supporting the longevity of the sport we all love.”
